Berlin

Experience Berlin!

Berlin was and has always been a metropolis of contradictions  - and still is. Old and new, magnificent and rustic are only some of the contrasts existing in close neighbourhoods. Policy is done in many places, while elsewhere construction sites still belong to the city scenery. Invite your guests to ramble through the city and discover its small and big surprises.

Cultural Scene
The vivid cultural scene offers an enormous variety of high-quality and light entertainment.

  • The Philharmonie
  • The Konzerthaus
  • Three opera houses
  • More than 80 theatres
  • Andre Heller’s Wintergarden Variety Theatre
  • The revue theatre “Friedrichstadtpalast”
  • The Musical-Theatre at Potsdamer Platz.

Berlin´s cultural life
There are world-famous art treasures waiting for you in Berlin: Queen Nofretete’s bust on the “Museumsinsel"  (Altes Museum), The famous altar in the Pergamon Museum and the skeleton of a Dinosaur Brachiosaurus – the biggest one in the world -  in the Naturkundemuseum (Natural History Museum). If you prefer to discover the Museumsinsel (Museum Isle), or to  take a guided visit to learn more about the Mauermuseum (Museum of Berlin Wall) at Checkpoint Charlie or to visit the Jüdisches Museum (Jewish Museum): More than 150 museums and numerous galleries invite you to have a diversified day of culture.

Sightseeing tours in Berlin (on request)
Departure from Hotel, picking up the guide, sightseeing tour city east and city west with stopovers at Brandenburg Gate and Memorial Church. Afternoon at your own disposal in the city, e.g. for shopping in the KaDeWe or at the Kurfürstendamm or Potsdamer Platz or for  a visit to the New Synagogue, then return to the hotel and dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Waterview of Berlin
Being aboard a steamboat and watching the city pass by is one of the best ways to discover Berlin. A lot of shipping companies offer various city tours, where the houses of government, then the Museumsinsel (Museum Isle) and the Lustgarten can be seen. Boat trips on the Müggelsee and on the Wannsee as well as excursions to Potsdam or Greater Berlin are also good fun.

Berlin from above
In the years 1948 and 1949, hundreds of aeroplanes formed the “Airbridge to Berlin” and supplied the population with coal, potatoes and bread. Soon the Berliners affectionately named the allied aeroplanes “candy bombers”. Enjoy the adventure of one of the most impressive sightseeing flights in a  “candy bomber”.

Helicopter-Flights
A flight in a helicopter is always a special adventure for the young and the young at heart. Don’t miss out on the view and take a sightseeing flight with up to 4 persons or, even better, you yourself assume control and operate the helicopter on your own  - of course under the instruction of a professional.
